Each June, communities across the nation come together in celebration of Pride Month, a month dedicated to honoring and commemorating LGBTQ+ individuals. Its roots have spread to foster a culture of unity & acceptance, attempting to create a culture of yearly celebration, not just limited to 30 days each summer.
The internet was set ablaze toward the end of the women’s basketball NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship game on April 2, 2023, when Louisiana State University’s Angel Reese used the “you can’t see me” hand gesture, while pointing at her ring finger to her team’s soon to be championship ring, toward University of Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, according to Forbes.
Swimming has become a staple point for many in everyday summer life, particularly for those in Manchester. Whether lap swimming down at the Marcy MacDonald Pool or spending a sweltering summer afternoon down at Salters, swimming is a privilege that many of us have come to take for granted.
Manchester Youth who are entering Grades 9-12 in the fall of 2023 are encouraged to apply to serve on the Manchester Youth Commission.

These words, spoken by PFLAG Northeast Regional Director Lindsey Pasquale, reflect the spirit of this year’s upcoming Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual celebration that seeks to affirm & uplift the voices of transgender and non-binary communities who are far too often ignored, maligned, or even demonized.
Not that it wouldn’t become obvious to the reader only shortly after diving into this article, but nonetheless, I think that it is important to address that as a male author of an article that is going to attempt to highlight the tremendous effort, resilience, and leadership displayed by a number of my fellow co-workers

Sometimes it feels as though the world is burning, with the ongoing and lasting effects of the
COVID-19 pandemic, the attacks on public education, the continuous threats to marginalized
communities in our nation, and so much more.
