Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Manchester Road Race will not be holding its annual Thanksgiving Day event. In place of the traditional event hosted by the Manchester Road Race Committee, a Virtual ManchesterRoad Race (VMRR) event will be held from November 19th to November 25th.

During the week of Nov. 2nd, the Town of Manchester Highway Department will be out collecting
leaves in order to test all equipment prior to the start of Leaf collection on Nov. 9th.

The Parks and Facilities Master Plan project kicked into high gear this weekend as hundreds of Manchester residents participated in a community engagement special event, Trick or Treat for OurParks.

The Town of Manchester Water Department is continuing its call for water conservation from all citizens, businesses, institutions, and users of the potable water supply because the levels of the Town’s reservoirs are still below 70 percent (62.2%) of capacity due to the lack of precipitation.

The Spruce Street Market is a local favorite for farm-fresh fruits, vegetables and a variety of prepared food from small businesses. The seasonal market is run by the Town of Manchester during the summer months of July through August 19th, open every Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 PM rain or shine. This past season was one of the most successful in the market’s history, drawing a greater crowd of both local community members and visitors from nearby towns.

In preparation for the General Election scheduled on November 3rd, the Town of Manchester Town Clerk’s Office and Registrar of Voters Office are working to provide the Manchester community with the latest information on voting registration, security, and processes to ensure all eligible voters who wish to vote this year are able to do so safely and securely.

The Town of Manchester Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation honors and celebrates Hispanic history and culture with National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 – October 15.
