The COVID pandemic has given us renewed appreciation for the heroes around us. 108 years ago, a teacher from Manchester stepped forward during a crisis and became a hero.
Last year around this time we were celebrating yet another successful Early Childhood Fair, with
approximately 300 Manchester residents in attendance. The Manchester Early Childhood Fair
provides information on everything from local preschools to college savings to recreation. This
year is very different, and although we cannot have large, in-person events, we are able to
share out exclusive content to Manchester families such as videos and an all-inclusive list of
preschool and daycare options with links to contact forms and websites.
During the month of February, the Youth Service Bureau offered a remote family service project called, “Valentines for Veterans.” Covid-19 has been especially difficult for Veterans receiving inpatient and outpatient care due to family visitation restrictions and social distancing.
