James Costa is the Neighborhoods & Families Coordinator for the Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation. He began working with the division during his sophomore year at Manchester High School, and he is now a UConn graduate with degrees in Journalism & Film Studies.

Neighborhoods & Families Division will host their Spruce Street Farmers Market: Indoor Holiday Market on Saturday, December 17 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Nathan Hale Activity Center, 160 Spruce Street.
The opening day of registration for the Town of Manchester’s Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation’s programs and special events is quickly approaching. From community events to youth athletics, educational opportunities to drop-in children’s activities, all are welcome to join in the department’s slate of winter/spring programs and special events.
The Town of Manchester’s Neighborhoods & Families Division will host their second annual Spruce Street Farmers Market: Shop Small Saturday Indoor Market on Saturday, November 26 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at the Nathan Hale Activity Center, 160 Spruce Street.
As the days get shorter and the year winds down to its close, a historic milestone looms large throughout the local community. In 2023, the Town of Manchester will officially celebrate its Bicentennial, a commemoration of the town’s 200th birthday, an evaluation of its rich history, and a look to the future roads not yet traveled.
In between your holiday meals, family gatherings and food-induced naps, don’t forget about the exciting slate of programs facilitated by the Town of Manchester’s Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation.
