Stephen was born and raised in Manchester and retired here five years ago. He and his wife Susan, an avid master gardener, have two adult sons (and their wives) and four grandchildren who live nearby. He is a passionate user of public libraries and sees a new modern library as an investment in the futures of all who live and work in town.
Fun Fact #1: Generations of his family have called Manchester home for over 100 years.
Fun Fact #2: The last time Manchester expanded its library facilities was in 1962 when Stephen was nine years old.
Supporters of the plan to build a new public library on Main St. will be at the popular Urban Lodge Brewing on Friday, Oct. 21 to talk about the need for and benefits of this proposed project.
Residents are invited to a campaign kickoff event being sponsored by a group that is organizing to support the proposed construction of a new, 21st century public library on Main St.
