Thanksgiving: Beyond the Plate
- Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation
As the fall rolls on & we approach the holiday season, so does our mindset shift, focusing on the family, friends and other loved ones who have helped us to get through the year. It’s a time of reflection, a hopeful escape from the stresses of one’s career or schooling, a reminder of what truly matters in each of our lives.
This year, the Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation wanted to extend this feeling of gratitude outside of the Thanksgiving meal or beloved family, friends, and fuzzy four-legged companions. This year, we are thankful for Manchester. From the beautiful greenspaces filling the town to the special places or projects that we can escape to, we all have something to be appreciative of.
Check out the below photos for just a sampling of what our team is grateful for this year. Learn a little bit about some of our staff from just a single, purposeful photo – no words needed.
