Yoga for Food

I hope this note finds you and yours happy and healthy. Our Recreation facilities have been open for a month and each week we are seeing more people come in to use our facilities. With the holiday seasons upon us, the Department of Leisure, Families and Recreation want to invite you to our Yoga for Food event that will be taking place over the next few months. We know how difficult this time of year can be for individuals and families. We also see a need for donations in our local food pantry. We want to help our residents and local nonprofits during these difficult times by offering our free yoga for food classes. Yoga for food is open to any age and skill level.  All we request is for participants to bring a nonperishable food item. Items donated will be given to the Manchester Area Conference of Churches Food Pantry.

Please join us at the Community Y on October 30th November 20th and December 20th from 6:00pm-7:30pm. The class will be held on the basketball court in order for participants to be able to social distance safely. If you are interested, we are asking for participants to register ahead of time. This can be done on line, over the phone or come down to one of our Recreation Centers to sign up. If you are unable to attend and would still like to donate, all donations can be brought to the Community Y on 78 North Main St during normal business hours. Please feel free to come to the Community Y to see the space or to look at the other amenities we have to offer.

We hope everyone has a safe holiday season and look forward to seeing everyone during these jubilant Holiday seasons.
