With the frigid months upon us and the risks of winter storms surfacing, it is vital that we appropriately care for and protect our pets. Even with a coat of fur, our beloved animals are not entirely safe from the dangers of cold weather.

The Manchester Youth Commission’s Philanthropy Committee is requesting proposals for Mini Grants of up to $1,000 per application to Manchester community groups which are either led by, or intended to benefit, youth in Manchester.

As we enter the chilly month of December, it’s important to find meaningful hobbies that allow us to stay warm, cozy & happy. One way to achieve this is through the creation of delicious home-cooked meals.

The Manchester Greater Together Community Fund is pleased to announce a competitive grant opportunity for one or more nonprofits proposing projects to benefit the residents of Manchester. All interested applicants must complete the application and budget template available at www.hfpg.org/manchestercf . Applications are due by 11:59 P.M. on December 16, 2024.

In preparation for its next cycle of grantmaking, the Manchester Greater Together Community Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving is seeking new members of its advisory committee. Manchester is a community rich in culture, diversity, youth and civic involvement. The committee welcomes candidates who reflect the wide range of backgrounds represented throughout the town.

The Town will begin leaf collection on November 12th. Crews will begin in Area 1. Once Area 1 has been completed, crews will move into Area 2. Collection schedule is subject to change due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

At UR Community Tech Center, we’re looking for compassionate volunteers to assist older adults in learning and using technology. Whether it’s helping them set up a tablet, use video calling apps to chat with family, or showing them how to access telehealth services, your time and skills can make a big difference in their quality of life.
