The Silk City Chorus and MOSAIC, both part of the Manchester, CT Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, are proud to announce our 2025 Annual Show. Titled “A PINT O BARBERSHOP”, the show will once again be staged at Manchester High School’s Bailey Auditorium. Join us as we celebrate the joys of Barbershop Harmony and the rich traditions of Celtic Music.

The Neighborhoods and Families Division is requesting proposals for funding opportunities of up to $2,000.00 per application from Manchester non-profit community groups, clubs, and organizations. Qualifying candidates must plan to facilitate a project, program, or celebration which fulfills one of the following categories: Community Cultural Events, Commemorative Projects, and/or Arts and Culture Initiatives.

On December 31st, 1969, Richard Nixon proclaimed January 1970, as the first National Blood Donor Month, taking action to increase blood donations throughout the winter season. Shortages of blood donations in the winter result from a wide array of circumstances including holiday celebrations, uninviting weather and cold and flu season. Unfortunately, this puts those who need blood for life-saving care at extreme risk.

The Manchester Youth Commission’s Philanthropy Committee is requesting proposals for Mini Grants of up to $1,000 per application to Manchester community groups which are either led by, or intended to benefit, youth in Manchester.
