Nurun Nahar is a Race and Equity Facilitator with the Department of Race and Equity for Manchester Public Schools. She is a Muslim, Bangladeshi-American woman and holds these identities close to her heart. She is passionate about racial justice, youth empowerment, and bringing change to our community, as she is a Manchester native and graduate of MPS. Nurun also works part-time for the Manchester Youth Service Bureau, where she co-advises the Manchester Youth Commission.
Fun Fact #1: Nurun’s name is a palindrome, which means it is spelled the same backwards as it is forwards.
Fun Fact #2: Nurun was on the Waddell Eagles Hip-Hop dance team when she was a 5th grader at Waddell Elementary School.
