Rec on the Run Summer 2022 Recap
The summer season is coming to a close and will be sad to see the weekly visits to the various parks around town take a break and prepare for the Fall season. So many smiling faces, friendships, and community connections have made this summer of 2022 one to remember. A huge thank you to everyone who enjoyed the program and to the staff who are critical in making sure a fantastic time is had by all.
Pizza boxes with no pizza, chalk with no chalkboards, Jenga in four sizes – Just a few of the surprises packed on the REC on the Run. Who knew what Pindaloo is? Finger paints are not just for kids and hula hoops always bring a new spin on fun. Checkers, tug rope, and parachutes brought the community together allowing multiple generations to join in the FUN! No matter the language, no matter the age it was amazing to witness togetherness in the neighborhoods.
Vacations coming to an end, and back to school is around the corner – REC on the Run thanks you, the Community who have made this program a rewarding experience and a joy to be a part of. Stay safe, happy, and healthy!
