Join in the EXCITEMENT of Manchester’s Evolving Cultural District
We invite all those interested in Cultural Happenings in
Manchester to the 1st Cultural District Quarterly Meeting which will be
on Thursday, January 30th, at the Lutz Children’s Museum.
This meeting represents an important milestone in our
journey to further Manchester’s growth as a vibrant cultural destination.
The recent state designation as a Cultural District has inspired
tremendous energy and engagement among artists, businesses, and community
members alike.

the Cultural District Map
- Discuss
strategies to effectively plan and promote annual, seasonal, and monthly
events

ways to leverage the Cultural District designation to strengthen community
ties and engagement

opportunities for collaboration and cross-promotion of events and
initiatives
- Share
ideas to grow the Manchester ACEs (Art & Culture Emissary) volunteer
program

Born and bred in Manchester, Stacey Zackin returned to her hometown after a varied career in Hollywood, working as an Adjunct Professor in the Business Schools of UConn & Univ. Of New Haven teaching Career Development and Workforce Diversity and earning multiple degrees including a BS in Film/Photography, Masters in Social Work and Non-Profit Management and a PhD in Depth Psychology. She brings her experience in the creative arts, business administration and human behavior to her role as Manager of WORK_SPACE, the municipal Coworking, Meeting & Gallery space in the heart of Downtown Manchester. Currently working on transforming her dissertation on The Psychology of Hospitality: Creating Welcoming & Inclusive Environment into a book, Stacey is excited to work with the many people in Manchester who support creating hospitable spaces for people to come together to work and play and share meaningful experiences.
Fun Fact #1: Stacey has checked the following off her bucket list: attend the Academy Awards, walk a full marathon and hold a Koala Bear.
