Recreation Membership Card – Free 2024 Adult Memberships
Beginning Monday, January 1, 2024, the Town of Manchester’s Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation will be offering free Recreation Membership Cards to all adult and senior residents for the 2024 programming season, made possible through funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
A Recreation Membership Card can be purchased at Center Springs Park, the Community Y, Customer Services at Town Hall and the Senior Center. This card will allow access to the town’s recreation centers, outdoor & indoor pools, and the Community Y Fitness Center. Senior citizen passes are also valid for the Manchester Senior Center and Senior Center programs.

Juneteenth Community Celebration
Join the Town of Manchester’s Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation and the African American and Black Affairs Council at the annual Juneteenth Community Celebration! Come enjoy a slate of musical and cultural performances, a black-owned food and vendor market, a Juneteenth-themed art exhibit, family activities & more!

Charter Oak Park: Summer Kick Off
Bring the whole family down to Charter Oak Park and enjoy our free summer kick off featuring inflatables, recreational games and activities and the start of our Park Ambassadors summer program!

Spruce Street Farmers Market
Save the date for the upcoming Spruce Street Farmers Market! All market dates accept SNAP/EBT payments & will double the value of SNAP purchases up to $30.00 (spend $30.00 using your EBT card to receive an additional $30.00 to spend on SNAP-eligible items). In addition, all children in attendance will receive a $2.00 Power of Produce voucher each market for use on any fresh produce.

Senior Power of Produce Vouchers – July Farmers Markets
The Spruce Street Farmers Market & Northwest Park Farmers Market are proud to announce the Senior Power of Produce (POP) Program, a new supplemental nutrition program that offers weekly $5.00 produce vouchers to Manchester’s seniors!
The Senior POP Program offers Manchester seniors the opportunity to register for a $5.00 voucher for use on any fresh fruits or vegetables at the Spruce Street Farmers Market (Wednesdays, June 5 – August 28, 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM, 153 & 163 Spruce Street) and the Northwest Park Farmers Market (Wednesdays, September 4 – October 30, 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM, 448 Tolland Turnpike). Voucher registration opens at 9:00 AM on the 1st Monday of the month from May 2024 – September 2024 for the following month’s markets (i.e. registration for July Power of Produce vouchers opens on Monday, June 3rd @ 9:00 AM). Registered participants can pick up their vouchers at the Welcome Pavilion at the Spruce Street or Northwest Park Farmers Market.
You must be a Manchester resident aged 60+ to register. Registration is capped at fifty (50) total vouchers per weekly farmers market. Limit one voucher per resident per week. Registration can be completed by calling or visiting:

Dine Around The World Series: Puerto Rico
The Dine Around The World Series brings community members together this summer to celebrate diversity through cultural activities and sampling authentic favorites from Puerto Rico, Jamaica and India, all while surrounded by the natural beauty of Northwest Park. Join us for a night of music, a Bachata dance class, and delicious Puerto Rican food!

Family Camp Series: The Adventure Park
Join us at The Adventure Park at Storrs for a unique and totally fun family experience climbing and zip lining in a beautiful, outdoor environment! Adventure courses are appropriate for families with youth ages (7+) and all levels of fitness; Adventure Playground available for families with children ages 3-6 years.

Family Camp Series: The Dinosaur Place
Join us for a day of family fun learning about life-sized dinosaurs, exploring a two-story playscape, splash pad and more! This program is appropriate for families with youth of all ages. Transportation from the YSB provided; bus departs at 9:00 AM. Please pack a lunch or lunch is available on-site for purchase.

Dine Around The World Series: Jamaica
