The pump track and all-wheel park are part of the second phase of exciting upgrades and renovations to Charter Oak Park West. The improvements are community-driven and informed by recommendations from the 2021 Town of Manchester Parks and Facilities Master Plan.
In 2017, $2 million worth of improvements were completed, including new playgrounds, basketball and tennis courts, a revamped softball field and more. The next phase of construction will include improvements to modernize the western portion of the park, including the all-wheel park and pump track, turf soccer field, bathrooms, and a new parking area.
The current renovation phases are as follows:
Phase 1 consists of a new park entrance, parking and turf soccer field. Construction is scheduled to begin on this phase in the summer of 2024.
Phase 2 consists of the all-wheel park, the pump track and associated landscaping. Construction is scheduled to begin in the spring of 2025.
