Department of Leisure, Family & Recreation Career Fair

Interested in joining the Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation team? Come join us at our annual Career Fair at Manchester High School!

The Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, March 16th from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM at the Manchester High School Cafeteria, 134 Middle Turnpike E.

Each year, over 300 part-time employees are hired by the Department of Leisure, Family, and Recreation. From counselors at the Town’s robust summer camp season to lifeguards & swim instructors at the Recreation Division’s outdoor pools, there are opportunities available to those of all abilities.

In addition, information about the 2022 Summer Youth Employment and Learning Program (SYELP) will be available at the Career Fair. The Summer Youth Employment and Learning Program is a youth employment program connecting Connecticut Youth between the ages of 14 and 24 with career exploration opportunities and paid work experience. Participants have the opportunity to explore their interests and career pathways & develop their social, civic, and leadership skills.
