Letter of Support for AAPI Communities
On behalf of the Department of Leisure, Family and Recreation: We would like to express our support towards the Asian, Asian-American and Pacific Islander communities across Manchester, the state and the nation, and condemn the violent acts of racism and hate that have been perpetuated against them.
Last year, the Town of Manchester officially declared racism a public health crisis. We must
uphold the promises that we made with this declaration. We need to call out and condemn
racism no matter where it is or what groups are targeted. We condemn racism of all forms and
will not tolerate it in Manchester.
We must all call out and challenge bigotry and hatred whenever we see it. It is our responsibility to create a just, better world for our families, friends, co-workers & neighbors.
We can, and must, do better.
