It’s hard to ignore that things have been pretty tough lately, but the real story is how people are coming together in support of one another. At the local level it can be easy to miss all of the work that is going on behind the scenes of the current relief efforts, but for certain there is an army of individuals selflessly donating their time and effort to take care of their neighbors. One group in particular CT Mutual Aid East of The River is doing just that. A dedicated team of diverse community members working to organize resources and access to essential services for our most at risk neighbors, CT Mutual Aid East of The River is working to provide everything from grocery delivery, to pet and child care, to mental health services and even basic human connection through conversation.
