Based on the recommendation of the Permanent Memorial Day committee, General Manager Shanley confirmed that the Town of Manchester has canceled this year’s Memorial Day parade, ceremony, and associated public events.

The committee will recognize the solemnity of the day by continuing the following traditions:

• Wreaths to be placed at all the monuments in town (13).
• Flowers to be planted at Civil War Monument and Spanish American Monument.
• A minimum of 1 flag will be put up at each monument (13).

The Board of Directors of Manchester encourages all residents to spend time this Memorial Day 2020 to remember and recognize those who have fallen in your own, personal way. We will not forget.
