Being Latino in America, I received two kinds of education: the national curriculum and my cultural values. Growing up through the Manchester school system, I was taught about all the important figures and events in US history that molded America.
The Spruce Street Market is a local favorite for farm-fresh fruits, vegetables and a variety of prepared food from small businesses. The seasonal market is run by the Town of Manchester during the summer months of July through August 19th, open every Wednesday from 4:30-7:30 PM rain or shine. This past season was one of the most successful in the market’s history, drawing a greater crowd of both local community members and visitors from nearby towns.
As the leaves start to change color and temperatures begin to drop, many people begin heading indoors and turning on their heaters for the first time this fall season. Fire Prevention Week comes at such a crucial time, taking place each October.
